The best way to describe the everyday life of Kidz 4 Kidz, is that it is like a youth club where we spend our time rehearsing for shows. 

There are no competitions, drilling of routines or gradings. It's purely for the fun of performing, making new friends, and confidence building.

Kidz for Kidz is run by qualified volunteers (all DBS checked and many performing arts trained).

Rehearsals run on a weekly basis every Sunday from 1pm to 3pm (till later for full run throughs and dress rehearsals)

We perform two shows a year in Lancashire, England.

Both shows are a cabaret format - all singing & dancing.

The cast can chose whether they'd like to sing (or not) and be in certain acts (or not).

 

The main cast is aged 4 to 18 and split into three age categories for the majority of rehearsals so they are able to perform in smaller groups to age appropriate tracks, also so the other groups have time to get changed for their next acts.

The groups are: Infant Girls, Junior Girls, Senior Girls, Lads (all ages).

The cast also perform some numbers all together.

Kidz 4 Kidz take on new members at the beginning of a rehearsal run, and with less than 20 weeks to do the rehearsals and dress runs, starting late would result in missing out for our cabaret shows.

When volunteers allow we also produce holiday club shows, which are intensive one or two week rehearsal blocks, with a show at the end of the run.

 

Rehearsals are at St. Augustine's Primary School, St. Austin's Road Preston,PR1 3YJ,  Lancashire.

The cost is £4 per cast member per week, this includes their costumes for the shows. Subs cover hall hire, insurance, copyright, costumes, production costs.
